The Moving Island | 2025
Moving Island explores how design embodies motion—not only in form, but in the way humans adapt, connect, and navigate spaces.
The project reimagines the idea of an island: from isolation to connection. Through this lens, Moving Island reflects on transition, interaction, and the subtle shifts that happen when design moves with people and their surroundings.
First presented at Ekraf Design Festival x MBloc Design Week 2025, the project was part of a spontaneous presentation that later led to our selection as one of 20 designers from across Indonesia to receive direct entry (lolos seleksi langsung) to the festival.
At its core, Moving Island invites a question:
How might design not only illustrate movement, but become movement itself?
